with the sunshine in our eyes and skate burns on our thighs

My pockets are empty and I have one cigarette left

that one little monster still waiting to be fed

Here's to this town and all it's shitty basements
well here's to the many bands that we thought would have a chance
high on the smell of sweat and the lack of oxygen

Who needs to sleep when they can sing along?
First we shred some tears then make it all wrong
I will try and write some lines, find the right spot
I will try to make you smile because life is short

From this hill we can see the whole town
with the dark woods behind and the bright lights downtown
and the summer night air in your hair smells just fine

If we make out now we'll wake up tomorrow
naked in this field, just wondering what to feel
and how to get a bite to eat
